Important Information concerning Medical Insurance

You are welcome to stay in the clinic at any time and at your own cost – also without a medical referral. We will gladly inform you about room reservations and about our introductory offers, as well as prices and services offered (for outpatients as well).

Status

The HG Naturklinik Michelrieth is a private clinic pursuant to § 30 of the trade regulations of the German Department of Health, licensed for the admission of patients with acute illnesses or for rehabilitation.
We fulfill the requirements of § 107 SGB, par. 1 (hospital) and par. 2 (rehabilitation facility).

With private health insurance companies the license is based on § 4 par. 5 MB/KK (acute illnesses and rehabilitation). Included in our insurance coverage package is a contract for health care with the German public health insurances pursuant to § 111 SGB V.

Information for Patients with Private Health Insurance:

The HG Naturklinik Michelrieth is a private clinic where acute-inpatient treatments, follow-up treatment measures, inpatient rehabilitation and sanitarium treatments are carried out. We fulfill the requirements of § 107 SGB V, par. 1 (hospital) and par. 2 (rehabilitation facility).
Based on our status (§4 par. 5 MB/KK) it is necessary for privately insured patients to receive permission from their insurance company before beginning inpatient treatment – by submitting a medical instruction for admittance and a medical certificate of illness.

Information for Patients with Public Health Insurance:

Included in our insurance coverage package is a contract for health care with the German public health insurances pursuant to § 111 SGB V for inpatient rehabilitation (formerly cures). Also in the area of preventive and short-term care, as well as for patients with accident insurance policies and members of professional associations, the possibility exists for reimbursement in individual cases.

For patients from abroad it is sometimes possible to receive partial reimbursement of the costs.
We would like to expressly indicate that details concerning reimbursement by your insurance company should be clarified before beginning treatment. Please insist on written permission or a written statement from your private or public health insurance.
