Our Health Tip

Train your brain; keep it fit!

Try doing daily tasks in an unusual way: for example, during your morning routine for getting ready for the day, use your left hand if you’re right-handed, or vice versa; switch knife and fork; read a newspaper article while standing on your head. This is an excellent exercise for training the brain; and it keeps you young and mentally agile.

Vitamin Pills for Fighting Crime

On March 16, 2007, Welt-online reported under this headline, about an experiment planned to be carried out in British prisons. The British prisons are increasingly overfilled and so ways are being sought for decreasing the number of prisoners. In a sensational study carried out several years ago, 231 prisoners received a diet particularly rich in vitamins and minerals. The difference seen afterward in their behavior was impressive. The prison showed a decrease of 26% in criminal offences within the prison walls. During the period of their vitamin-rich diet, the prison inmates became visibly “tamer.” Now the University of Oxford is planning a further study of 600 inmates in 3 British prisons. They are to regularly take vitamins, minerals and Omega-3 fatty acids. The data will then be compared with that of another 600 inmates receiving placebos. This study should confirm that a healthy diet lowers aggressiveness and ultimately can curb criminal acts.

Our commentary:

This fact is not new to us.
For many years, we have experienced in the HG Naturklinik that food has an important influence on our mood, our emotional life.
Micronutrients – amino acids, fatty acids, minerals, trace elements and vitamins – affect our mood very strongly.
Many patients suffering from fear, aggression and depression find a decisive improvement after having changed their diet some time before, and after an individual analysis of their micronutrient levels, which were supplemented as indicated. The combination of Healing by Fasting according to the laws of nature in the H G Naturklinik combined with a target-oriented supplementation of micronutrients based on a blood analysis has proven to be particularly helpful.
But you can also do something at home. You can become a vegetarian – if possible, with food from peaceable cultivation – and eat little sugar and sugar-rich products. You can have your blood tested for micronutrient levels, for example, in our micronutrient laboratory (one of the oldest and most experienced labs in Germany). And you can exercise regularly, for example, a brisk 30 min. walk 2 to 3 times a week.
And which foods contain the most vitamins and minerals? Right, those foods included in a vegetarian diet. And it is certainly not by chance that a diet that is not based on aggression, suffering and killing also helps people to become more peaceable.

A Few More Facts in Conclusion

The 8th International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant took place last year at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. The participants wrote a declaration that warned of an increasing contamination of the earth by mercury. Three times as much mercury lands on the ground from the air as did before the Industrial Revolution. The use of mercury in small-scale gold mining is polluting thousands of sites around the world, posing long-term health risks to up to 50 million inhabitants of mining regions. The concentration of methylmercury is reaching poisonous concentration is many fish species and leading to an increasing extinction of species of fish and seabirds.
